Self-supporting cable for overhead power distribution, XLPE insulation 0.61kV - NTP/370.254
Self-supporting overhead cable with XLPE insulation, NTP 370.254 compliant.
Durable 0.6/1kV aerial cable for reliable low-voltage distribution.
Ideal for rural and urban networks – strong, insulated, and self-supporting.
Ideal for overhead distribution where space and safety matter.
Low-maintenance bundled cable solution for Peruvian power systems.
Application
This self-supporting overhead power cable is designed for low-voltage distribution systems operating at 0.6/1kV, compliant with NTP 370.254—the Peruvian national standard. It is commonly used in Latin American utility networks for efficient, safe, and compact aerial installations.
The cable consists of three insulated aluminum phase conductors and one bare or insulated neutral messenger, which also functions as a mechanical support element, eliminating the need for separate suspension hardware. All conductors are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), offering excellent thermal resistance, dielectric performance, and long-term UV stability.
This design allows for easy and fast installation on poles, especially in urban, suburban, and rural areas where underground cabling is not feasible. The compact, bundled construction reduces line sag, minimizes electromagnetic interference, and enhances safety against contact, trees, and weather-related faults.
Manufactured to meet NTP 370.254, this cable supports continuous operation at 90°C, short-circuit conditions up to 250°C, and is resistant to moisture, sunlight, and mechanical stress. It is an ideal solution for expanding or modernizing low-voltage aerial networks with reduced maintenance and improved reliability.
