Application
The 0.6/1kV Aerial Bundled Overhead Cable (ABC) is a low-voltage distribution cable system designed for overhead use in international markets, offering enhanced electrical safety, environmental resilience, and installation efficiency.
Unlike traditional bare conductor lines, this cable uses XLPE-insulated aluminum phase conductors, tightly bundled around a bare or insulated neutral messenger, which may be either aluminum alloy or steel-core depending on mechanical requirements. The insulated design minimizes electrical hazards caused by accidental contact, vegetation, or severe weather.
Its compact construction reduces the required clearance between cables and structures, making it ideal for narrow streets, informal settlements, and retrofit projects in both urban and off-grid rural areas. The cable withstands UV radiation, moisture, corrosion, and mechanical stress, ensuring reliable service life in outdoor environments.
0.6/1kV ABC cables are manufactured to comply with various international standards such as IEC 60228, IEC 60502-1, NFC 33-209, and AS/NZS 3560.1, supporting use across Asia, Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
This overhead ABC system is a cost-effective, space-saving, and safe solution for modernizing low-voltage distribution networks without extensive civil works.
