Application
100% and 133% insulation grade medium voltage (MV) power cables are designed for reliable power transmission in utility, industrial, and commercial distribution systems. They feature copper or aluminum conductors insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), offering excellent dielectric strength, thermal stability, and long-term performance.
The 100% insulation grade is intended for grounded systems, where the cable operates with minimal overvoltage risk. The 133% grade is used in ungrounded or resistance-grounded systems, offering enhanced insulation thickness to withstand higher electrical stress and improve system reliability under fault conditions.
These cables support continuous operation at 90°C, with short-circuit temperature ratings up to 250°C, and are resistant to moisture, chemicals, and UV exposure. Optional shielding (e.g., copper tape, concentric wires) and PVC or PE outer sheaths provide additional protection and EMI reduction.
