Application
AACSR (Aluminum Alloy Conductor Steel Reinforced) is a special overhead transmission conductor composed of aluminum alloy stranded wire and steel core. Its outer layer is made of aluminum alloy conductor (usually aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy) and its inner core is galvanized steel wire, which combines excellent conductivity with extremely high tensile strength.
Compared with traditional ACSR, AACSR has a higher strength-to-weight ratio under the same cross-section, which enables it to be used for longer spans and higher erection heights, effectively reducing the number of towers and construction costs of transmission lines. At the same time, the aluminum alloy outer layer has stronger corrosion resistance and is suitable for harsh environments such as coastal areas and industrial pollution areas.
AACSR conductors have excellent conductivity, mechanical properties and electrical corrosion resistance, and are widely used in high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage overhead transmission lines. Its structure is stable, transmission loss is low, maintenance is small, and it can effectively extend the service life of the line.
